This was a total experiment. I decided it was the perfect subject for blocking in the whole thing and then putting the details in on top. As many of you know, this is not how I approach a still life. I am experimenting with lots of things.

I spent the entire day getting set up for my next workshop - 5 days starting tomorrow, in Springfield, OR. I probably won't post much, though I will try.

I love these two paintings!!! Love the light, the colours and the leaves as light as feathers in the first one, and I love the background that get almost abtract in the second one. Great work!
Really like the looseness and transparency in the darks of bushes. It makes the light dabs of leaves really vibrate.
