"Standing Tall" - SOLD

This is another "advanced" subject painting. I was practicing flowers mostly, but also glass. I threw the apples in for an area of comfort. : )

I'm intrigued with the color scheme. Pink is a hard thing to "accept" for me, but I think it's really effective in small doses. The olivey green and the very dark blue save it from being too sweet. this is a nice departure from your whites- which I also love.

Oh my goodness, Carole, I adore all your work, but this one has taken my breath away. Love your use of blue, and I'm a sucker for pink roses. As for the apples - so YUMMY!!! If I ever get to the US I'd love to do one of your workshops! Deb in Sydney

I get your emails and many times I'm at work when I open them. Seeing amazing color like this makes a day in my cubicle somehow better. Keep it up! You inspire!

I love the apples! I am drawing fruits with oil pastels, in my art class right now. You did a fantastic job with the glass, as usual

I love roses!! I am so excited that you have painted roses. I have a whole rose garden at home and care for them every day.
I am excited to see more roses in your further paintings.
