'Ode to Broccoli" - SOLD

This is some broccoli from the farm share we participate in. It had some long spindly leaves that looked like cheering arms, but they just weren't working for me in the composition, so I took them off. I never thought I could pull off brocolli in an interesting way, but I'm actually thrilled with the result. Sometimes I like to roll around in a little COLOR!!!

Very cool, Carol... these less "expected" subjects are definitely always favorites. I still regret missing a bid on that wonderful cabbage you put on ebay!

When I saw the title for this in my feed reader, I thought, Wow, how is she going to pull that off? But this is wonderful!

I came in singing "choppin' broccoli" ala Dana Carvey's little piano ode to the humble broc.
I love it! The purple is the perfect compliment to the green. Another beauty.

Carol, so beautiful! I love the two different colors of green, on the plate, and on the broccoli. The blurry edges on the far side of the plate are wonderful too! Just gorgeous!

I like this Carol. The colors are wonderful, the different greens and the purple background. You'll probably just keep hearing that over and over, lol.
