Sunset Walk
sold
I snapped the picture for this in Ventura, CA. It was just too perfect to pass up. I thought I'd died and gone to heaven.
Speaking of heaven, I am still basking in the glow of all your comments/posts/emails about my book. My head has gotten so big I can't make it out the front door! This is a problem, especially since I have a workshop coming up. Somebody - take me down a notch - quick!

Boat Bumpers
sold
I took the photo for this one when I was in Ventura, CA recently. I love the abstract nature of it. But you can tell what it is, right?
Today was my official book launch day! So many of you have written or posted about it and I am OH so grateful for all your kind words!! Some local friends are throwing a baby shower (for the birth of my book) later this month, and I wish you all could be there. I'll post some pictures for those who can't make it. : )
Also, my family and I just got home from a little camping adventure to the Redwoods. I posted some pictures on Instagram, in case you're interested, under the moniker, carolmarine.

Sea Slice 2
sold
Here's another sea slice from Ventura. Plus a lovely little video made by my friend/artist, Julie Ford Oliver about my book! Don't worry, it's just a short, flip through. Just 2 more days to get the pre-order rate for my book!

Sea Slice 1
sold
During my recent trip to Ventura, CA, I took a few pictures of the ocean, intending to paint them. I had seen some really simple paintings of beaches, years ago, in a gallery, somewhere ... with just a few horizontal stripes to describe the water. That is what I had in mind for this, but in the end it just didn't work for me without the details. So there you go.
Tomorrow morning, at 9am PST, I will again be co-hosting the AHA (Artists Helping Artists) show. This one is about using photographs for paintings (how/where to take them, what to look for, how to edit them, etc.). The show is recorded, so if you can't listen tomorrow, you can always hear it later.
