I realized today that I didn't make a big point of saying that I am now painting all my still lifes from life again now. Yes, my neck is now healed enough (after my fusion surgery) that I can move my head back and forth with minimal pain. Wahoo! I've even played a few games of pickleball lately, which makes me very happy. Painting and pickleball. Life is good. : )

I've been trying to paint more gouache paintings this size because I figure frames for it will be easier to find. This cat just happened to fit perfectly. I loved the golden light and cool shadows. Yum.
