"Spread Out Stacks" - SOLD

I am back from NY and ready to report. First of all, it was a beautiful place! Hudson River Valley Workshops are held at the Greenville Arms Inn (below). The food was terrific, the rooms cozy and the workshop space was perfect.

And my kids, well, they kept me busy to say the least. Here are a few of them doing value studies on the first day. I always take pictures during the timed exercises so they won't protest or mug for the camera - you know how kids are. : ) I've decided it'll take 2 posts to share everything, so ... more tomorrow.

What a wonderful painting, Carol. This is all done in neutrals--almost a value study. Yet it is so well done that it is very beautiful. Is it ok to admit to feeling a little envy?

Another beauty, Carol. Love the clean, simple and cool feeling of the whites, tans and grays. Looks like you have some great kids everywhere!

As always, great values. Looks like another great class, too!

I really like this painting. I feel that the subdued color really makes the composition important, and this is a great one.

one of my favorite subjects of yours. Very neutral but very dynamic.
