I just posted a new workshop in Westford, MA, September 12th - 14th, 2010. If you're interested, register here or email Laurie Miller or call 978-692-6333.
It is amazing how well you painted such a dark mug ... although I am not sure why I am amazed since all of your paintings are perfect! I would love to get your thoughts as to how you got started teaching workshops. Any advice? I would love any and all help!
L, I got invited to teach my first workshop (out of the blue) - and every single one after that. I've been blessed in that regard.
Lisa, I enter just one, for no other reason than all my friends do it. : ) It's the Salon International hosted by the Greenhouse Gallery annually. I've gotten in the last 2 years, but the competition is stiff. I got Jury's top 50 the first year, but never won a bigger award. Honestly I just haven't thought about entering anything else, though I do think I'll enter the Raymar one soon.
Leo, no I don't use black. Never have and won't start. But I know several fabulous artists who do, so I suppose it's just a personal preference.

Luscious darks!
Happy New Year, Dearest!
Oooh, since we are asking Carol's advice today, I would like to know if she has any recommendations on any other art competitions?
Raymar was a fun one to enter, which I wouldn't have known about unless you 'blogged' it.
Do you enter ones yourself?
Do you use black?
Thanks, ya'll!
