I am off, here in a minute, to drive to Cypress Mill, Texas (in the hill country) for a 3-day workshop. I am really glad I remembered how to paint in time to teach. : )
I am particularly enchanted by the beautiful shade of blue setting off the yellow and orange. It also occurs to me that you've done a great painting using primaries which is a feat. Glad you got your mojo back in time for the workshop ;)
Hi Carol...I've been browsing back through your blogs and you have really been busy with some very delightful work. I've haven't visited in a while, and shame on me. Hope the workshop goes well..tell Dena and the bunkhouse crew Hi, and drop by and visit some time.
I live in Canada. It's white and frozen and dormant up here. This painting has a tropical-ilyicious feel to it that has me smiling. Beeautiful.
The only one who thought you forgot how to paint seems to be YOU! There have been no signs of bumbling on this website. One beautiful painting after another, day after day after day. So nice!

This is just so absolutely luscious and vibrant. It's hard to believe you were having a "block," but see what was waiting for you on the other side?!
Happy for you.... :-)
Love,
Jen
Another great one Carol! Have fun in "the country". I am sure you will have a fantastic workshop!

Awww, I would like to be there with you. In your class and such a lovely place. These look so edible and rich. Nice work.

Carol, this is great. I love the perspective of looking down, just like in real life :) Nice handling of the paint.
Carol, this is beautiful. Love the brushwork!
I love the colors in this piece, Carol! Great work.
Suas obras me lembraram as de Moisés, pintor da década de 50 em São Paulo. Meus parabéns!
