I have a tall bookcase full of all my still life stuff, organized by color. Since I currently share my studio with our bedroom, this bookcase is right next to the bed, and I see all this stuff every night and every morning. For a while I have wanted to paint a little collection of all one color. It took many tries to get the stacks just right, but I finally did it, and am quite happy with the result.
Ps. I will have an update on the building of the new studio soon.

This is lovely - and a tour-de-force of white values. I just got my copy of your book, very excited to spend time studying it :-)
I also enjoy the challenge of white on white set-ups.
Carol this is very well done. I like all the different whites in here.
slammin'!
I can imagine it taking longer to stack them satisfactorily, than to paint them.
This is lovely--and very tricky to do! Someday you should post a picture of your bookcase full of still life stuff. I would love to see it.
You should be quite happy w/ the result! This is great!
I love your unique compositions... bright contrasting use of colour in all your work! Add to that the masterful brushwork... confident...and expressive! Great work!
Good painting!

Filbert, wonderful. Cups have NOSES!
Carol, this is one of my most favorite, which surprised me becasue I love color, but it is so "warm" and cozy feeling to me. I just really adore it!!
I love all your work...and I too, would love to see a pic of that book case full of stuff.
Hi Carol,
I have finally got organised and launched into a spell of daily painting!
Your blog continues to be an insperation...good luck with the new studio...do you think having a new studio will seep into your working style?
I think your 'one color collections' are some of your more powerful paintings, Carol. The subtle palette draws me in - then the richness of color blows me away. You are a blessing and an inspiration!
Seu trabalho e espetacular!tem muita força .Voce e muito boa no que fas, parabens!!!!!!
