"Rollin' Away"

BUY NOW $80

I have been in absolute heaven this last week as I've been able to paint MUCH more than before (due to my husband's layoff and him being home to take care of our son, in case you missed that part)! I think 2 full days a week is just not enough for me to get into a good groove - 4 or 5 days is much better. : ) Meanwhile my husband has been doing more work on the studio, which I will post about tomorrow. - no time tonight.

BOOK UPDATE: If you are in a mother/stepmother situation/relationship in Austin (or nearby), please consider attending our No One's the Bitch Meeting at Book People tomorrow (Tuesday, May 19th) at 7:30 PM. Thanks!

stopped in at Riverbend Gallery last weekend to drop off some new work and took a gander at you larger work. great stuff...really like the way you are able to maintain your style from the daily works into your studio pieces. something I struggle with all the time. sorry to here's about Mark's job, but these things tend to work out for the best anyway,

Catch those cherry tomatoes quick, Carol!

I like the bright reds of the tomatoes against the muted green backdrop.

Interesting composition too, having the tomatoes "roll" out of the shadow near the top of the painting.

So glad to hear you have more time to paint!

Another lovely painting and it sounds like you are a VERY busy and involved woman. Bravo for you doing so much with a little one too! I am off to try and check out some of your larger work.:)

Translucent red, just gorgeous Carol.

These look like the little brothers and sisters of yesterday's painting :)
Very nice over the green dotted table cloth...

Beautiful piece! Yes, balancing parenting and creating is so tricky. Glad you're getting more time in, but sorry about the layoff!
