I really need to get to the store and buy some more stuff to paint. On the other hand, my lack of stuff is making me reconsider all the other stuff around me as potential subjects. So much stuff, so little time.

WOW! You amaze me. What a great composition. You make the impossible look possible. Thanks for always inspiring me to become a better painter. I love seeing what you create.
You are the master at creating fresh fantastic compositions. You skill on foreshortening boggles my brain.
I wish you the best in your new home. How exciting.

Ohhh - this feels so dangerous. I feel like I want to ask you to put them away! ;)
BEAUTIFUL in every way! I couldn't make it to the ebay page, tho? This is a keeper!
WOW is all that comes out of my mouth!!! Everyday there is a new inspiration waiting for me on your blog (-: Your new house looks positively cutish.
A good example of a simple subject made into an interesting composition. I agree it does seem dangerous, and inspiring.
You do such a good job with metal...you just know how to capture all the right colors to get the right effects.
Dear Carol:
Yes, I agree with Elenka, that is some heavy metal in use, Carol. It is a good use of fusion to achieve motion.
I hope you will hear my case: I am trying to get up the schmaltz this year to do "one a day." I am capable, just lousy with anxiety most of the time, that inhibits activity. I was a draftsman for twenty years, now [semi]retired, lol, and wishing I still had the self-discipline I had back then to draw for eight hours a day.
If I do begin my second career, here is Moopigpaint.blogspot.com in "blogger" as my proposed "one a day" new address. I have several blogs, MooPig Wisdom [ moopigwisdom.blogspot.com ] under my MooPig header...
Is your site called dailypaintworks.com, or is that your school? My wife and I are interested in opening a storefront like yours, and so on. We just need a little more info to get that last little nudge... no?
Do I join a clan of "one a day" painters? If so can you direct me?
email me? patdarnell@aol.com I started on Jan 1, 2009, but am twenty paintings behind as of yesterday...
I came across your site last year and followed it. I like your attitudinal adjusting artwork very much. Paintings for me are like fifteen in two weeks, then I do none for eight months.
I am a member of the notorious Brazos Valley Art League, and won a ribbon last year. That was right before they incarcerated the Arts Council Director for embezzling... ha!
I hope to hear from you. Thanks. pd
Carol, your beautiful work never ceases to inspire! Thank you for all that you do! Such terrifc painting in the midst of moving! So admirable!
Great composition and, as always, you really got the right color.
You could start a whole new interactive painting thing - 'send me stuff and I'll paint it' :)
I totally agree with Katheryn Tyrrell..I guess that means this painting is extremely effective! (right down to the choices of colors!)
The pointy end looks so real that it makes me want to say "Ouch"!
Great job.

This is probably my favorite to date. It's simplicity is exciting and the edges are beautiful. I am in awe.
I really love this piece.
I am just loving your work--the scissors are awesome, and that purple and green reaches out and pulls my eyes to it. I know you've succeeded because I am truly not even a fan of purple, and looking at your work helps me envision entire rooms of it! I am absolutely in awe of the fact that you painted while in the midst of moving. you rock. I moved recently, and I have a little boy about the same age, and I never even THOUGHT about painting for weeks before or after. the new place looks amazing--what a setting. enjoy, enjoy, enjoy. (and in the meantime, the bedroom works--that's my permanent studio! cough, cough... and although cramped, the lighting is wonderful...)
Another superb study in the art of making the mundane interesting. Much respect.
Wonderful painting - great composition - very dynamic!
A delightful change of scenery.
A very cool painting, very dynamic, excellently done, as always. Not so auspicious from a Feng Shui standpoint!
