Tom und Erdbeeren

My son's Oma here in Germany got him 2 rabbits: Tom (black) and Jerry (gray). She thought they were both boys but, WOOPS, one is a girl. So, not wanting more rabbits, she had one fixed. I showed her this painting and she said "Tom und erdbeeren!" (Tom and strawberries). Hence the title.

I was raised by two fabulous women. Mom worked, our Oma was like Mom. She was my favorite person in all the world. Unfortunately, I never learned to speak German, but I LOVE traveling with you Carol and David. Thanks for including us & bringing back the best of memories. The bunny is gorgeous and so is the strawberry, the fork, etc etc.

I love how you convey so much detail through seemingly so few brushstrokes. I started a daily painting project as well and I always looking forward to your posts each day.

Masterful! Even your differentiation of brushmarks on different object well describe the textures of each objects. I love the design, atmosphere, reflected color scheme, and everything about it! I am so excited to be taking your class in Illinois in December '11!!!!!!
