Watermelon Aperitif

This is the last of the watermelon and my favorite. I know I say that a lot. I think most of the time when I do a series I am wanting to say something specific with my subject, and when I finally say it, I move on. Maybe that makes sense?

Look at that glass! Wooo-hooo! Hey, I could look at your watermelons all day. Wait. That sounded wrong. I mean your PAINTINGS of watermelons!

I love these watermelon pics, Carol. So summer-y and warm.
Just wondering if these melons have no pips at all? We can get melons with small pips, but not like these.
They must be great eating. But I can't feel a little sad from an artist's point of view... pips are so graphic.

Thanks, ya'll! Yes, alas, these watermelons have no pips. In fact it's quite difficult these days to find any WITH seeds! On some I end up making them up, but it's never quite right. : )

I just love your reds on these watermelon pieces - just such nice color work.

Like Chris, I am amazed at the reds in these! Especially love the red that's coming through the glass on this last one, and the reflections on the white table top. Luscious!

WEll, you are in Germany and we have LOTS of seeds in our watermelons so maybe you will have to extend your series on these...which I am sure we all would not mind at all as they are so beautiful!
