Several of my students in Santa Fe did some lovely things with cherries and I thought I'd paint some again myself. It is good to be back to painting regularly.
your color choices are something that I strive for! You have the knack of picking JUST the right colors, especially in the reflected light. I am just amazed.
Thanks you guys! Rhonda, I've gotten lots of requests to do workshops in the NE - if you know of an art center that regularly hosts workshops, ask them to invite me (specifically mention that I can fill them up). I would love to come to the NE!

What a vibrant red...if you don't mind me asking, what is your basic colour palette?
Sounds like you teach a fun class.
Nice piece. I like that daub of green to the left of the cherries.
Looks like that one wants to join not flee.
Stunning!
I especially like the little highlight on the stems in shadow.

Love, love, love the warm red and the lilac-y gray in this. Your light is well defined. beautiful
