Blimey

I just figured out why this one seems big to me now that I look at it again, even though it's on a small panel. These are key lime (small) slices, small plates, and a small cup. All smaller than normal, but you wouldn't know unless you painted it. Haha.

Two Too Many

I bought a whole bunch of citrus recently and have been enjoying cutting them up and working them into my compositions. I also took a bunch of photos of some on a table, partly in the sun and partly in shadow. I'll paint from these myself, but I also used one of these references for this month's Daily Paintworks Challenge - the Sunshine Challenge. Anyone can submit - you don't have to be a member. So check it out. : )

I'm re-posting this one because my buyer fell through. It happens every once in a while.

In Honor of Citrus

And this is the last in my current series of orange slices. I thought about calling it "escapees", but then I figured it would be like listing the co-stars (the limes) as the headliner.

This is it for me for a little while. Tomorrow I fly to Texas for my next workshop. I've padded my trip with extra time to visit family and friends, so I'll be gone a total of 10 days. That means I won't be able to ship any paintings that sell while I'm gone, and for that I apologize.

I won't be able to ship until October 17th, but my stepdaughter will continue to ship book orders for me while I'm gone.
