My son came up with the title for this one. He also pointed out that this is the first time I've painted a watch, which I think is true. I tried not to give it much detail or contrast though, since it's not the focus.

Often chihuahua's are nervous little nellies, but this one is pretty chill.

Vibrating, two versions

I ended up doing two versions of this cutie. First one is on top. For the second one I decided to play around a bit with more saturated colors. I ended up liking different things about both of them, so I'm posting both and asking - what do you think?

True story: The other evening my husband and I were downstairs watching TV. We suddenly heard barking and realized our little dog, Meep, wasn't in the room. We searched around the house and finally found her up in my studio, barking at a wall. My husband saw that up on a shelf were several little dog and cat paintings that I had recently done, and Meep was barking at them. We laughed, but honestly I consider this the highest compliment!

I took the photo for this earlier this year at my friend Ruth's house. She has lots of animals and I keep meaning to go back and spend some time there, taking pictures. I had planned to do it this summer, but ... where has it gone?! My son starts school again next week. Crazy!
