I did three versions of this dog. The first, in gouache, I did last year and liked it so much I kept it around to look at. The second I tried recently in acrylic. The third, in oil, is the last one I did, and it's a complete redo after another oil attempt bombed. But I learned so much from the gouache and acrylic versions that I decided to try again in oil, using what I had learned. I HIGHLY recommend this practice - using different mediums to paint the same thing. I learned so much!
