Don't Eat the Mushrooms
This is a study of a spot about 40 minutes (hiking uphill) from our base camp (in the Sierra's). There was something about the minerals in the water (just below a glacier?) that made the rocks under water this lovely red color, and the sediment at the bottom a kind of turquoise. Such a fun study in compliments!
<-- Here are a few of us painting in this location: myself nearest, then Lori Putnam, then Paul Kratter.

Such wonderful colors!
This series of paintings from your eventful trip has been fascinating to see, Carol. It's just as interesting seeing you and your friends in painting action. Thank you so much as always for giving us a glimpse into your painting world. In this and others you've depicted the clear pure water beautifully.
