This is a little scene from a hotel my husband and I stayed at in San Francisco last year.
A friend of mine sent me a link for some interesting
frames for paintings on panels. They look pretty neat, and VERY inexpensive. If anyone gets them, please let me know what you think! If the quality is good, I'd like to recommend them on a regular basis.

I placed an order for a 6 pack of their 6x6" black frames. It's worth checking them out, and I'll let you know what I think when they arrive. Thanks for sharing the link!
I looked at the link, and was curious about how the panel is attached - it said they do not furnish hardware and you'd have to glue or tape the panel into the frame??? Hmmmm.
Carol ..did you paint from a photograph of a sketch? This is nice..the light just right! I am looking forward to your new book...is it going to be available soon?
Thanks, Dorothy!
Nancy, I use velcro dots to attach my (small) paintings to frames like these.
Pamela, I painted this one from a photograph. But it probably would have behooved me to sketch (or even paint!) it from life. : ) The new book will hopefully be available before the end of the month! If not, then early next month. Thanks!
I must've misread the pricing, because I did not think they were inexpensive. However, they do have a product that might be great for plein air events: framed canvases, and they are reasonable. http://www.canvasplace.com/depiofhrca.html
Duh, I did not see that the price was for a 6-pack. Wow. That is cheap. Please disregard earlier comment.
I received my 6 pack order for the frames and I'm very impressed. They came in a timely manner and were packed in such a way that the frames would not be damaged. I got the black frames which have a soft, smooth, satiny finish. The corners are stapled three times in each corner on the back side, with no unsightly gaps anywhere. I'm a very satisfied customer and will be ordering from them again! Thanks for the tip, Carol!
Thanks for the link to the Canvas Place. Great stuff there!
