Egg-a-licious

sold

The eggs I usually buy are brown. Not that they aren't pretty, but I decided to buy myself a carton of white eggs just for painting. Here's the first one. My goal with this one was to see how few strokes I could paint the eggs with and still have them read as eggs. It was harder than it looks I think. You can expect more egg paintings.

That's funny....I was buying brown eggs for a change to paint this fall! They look great!

Yesterday I did what I call a 'copy Carol' of orange slices based on the painting at the beginning of your book as a means to working the 'vulnerable' lesson.
Um…difficult.
White eggs are next :D

This is WONDERFUL!

Great painting, Carol. I love the way you did the eggs so successfully with a small number of strokes. Great colors, too. The fork makes it perfect.

I've been painting white eggs too! Mine are in watercolor, but they're hard in any medium. It's difficult to show the form and also show that they're white.
