After Breakfast Blues

You know how when you have a really great breakfast, and you eat it all, and then you're sitting there looking at your plate, wishing you could eat it all over again because it was so good?!

What a fantastic painting (again!) Wonderful composition and color scheme. Now a question I have been meaning to ask since THE workshop in Aurora. How can YOU seem to create a painting where you juxtapose two colors blatantly (and deliciously) like the pink and the green, and yet your pink objects do not look like "cut-outs?" Your transitions are "confident" yet never harsh. SO easy on the eye. Superb!

Or you've eaten so fast that you look to take another bite, but alas it's all gone, and you wonder how that happened? Yes that happens to me often.

I love the light in this one and I've noticed how you softened some of the edges - something that I need to do in my paintings! Your brushwork like always is mesmerizing. Nice piece!

Thanks, you guys!!! I don't say often enough how much your comments mean to me. They are VERY MUCH appreciated!!

Silentwitness (Kristen)- I didn't think about that, but now that I do ... I believe soft edges make all the difference. Happy painting!! : )

I love almost every painting you do, so I ought to write a comment every day, but I am too lazy.

Love the contrasts, the complimentary colors and the lovely depth you got going.

Keep up the great work, being an inspiration I mean....... and your paintings off course.
