Rising Roses
These two were tough to compose with. I went around and around with different containers, different angles, and different colored backgrounds. Oh and did I mention other objects in there with them? Some wise person once told me - if there is something in the composition that isn't actively helping the composition, take it out. So more often than not I end up with rather simple scenes. Like this one.

I love yellow roses, and you have painted these to perfection. Love the simplicity!!!
I like this one too - it is beautiful! You came to a good composition - love the blue/yellow contrast, the two containers, the colors, and the background strokes.
Yeah, most people would insist on three objects (roses) but I think the conversation between the two water levels is your third object. I'm nuts about that blue-you-do!
Love it!
It's interesting - you can paint two flowers, in our country and culture two or even number of flowers are used at funerals or for a tomb visit, that's why painters never paint two flowers, 1-3-5-7 etc.
eye poppin'!
