I'm heading out early tomorrow for Texas! I've got a workshop in San Antonio next week and I'm spending some extra time seeing my family. I'm very much looking forward to it.
I LOVE this! Among your best, I think ... the juxtaposition of those soft, romantic colors with the burst of warm red from the apple and lively, energetic brushwork. And I'm really trying to study how you make us see glass with only a few subtle strokes ... marvelous!
I love the colors! Is it my imagination or has your color palette shifted lately to light and sunny hues? I think pacific northwest weather may be having it's effect. Not exactly like Austin, huh.
Love it! An ingenious color scheme and great use of color temperature throughout. I admire how you can create the background (wall) with lively strokes and subtle shifts in color/temp/value but that it still reads as a flat surface AND sits back. Beautiful flow from shape to shape--lovely!
You just get better and better!! i thought about you last week when my class were drawing crawlfish!! i just knew it would be something you would paint. Went to wal-mart and purchased frozen crawlfish and boiled them for my art students. They did super since it was a subject that they had never observed before. Happy Painting!
