I NEVER experienced a fall in Texas like this one here in Eugene. The leaves have been absolutely spectacular. And there are still quite a few of them hanging on. I found this one on the way home from Jacob's bus-stop and HAD to paint it. It was orange on one side and mostly red on the other side, hence the awesome glow.

Un éclat qui s'accommode parfaitement bien avec les nuances de blanc de votre céramique... Un magnifique contraste qui en fait une très belle peinture.
Gros bisous
That IS a awesome glow Carol! Glad you found (and painted) this autumn leaf!
Sitting here on a Saturday morning browsing through favorite blogs and yours is one I can always depend on to provide a positive angle-- I can feel your enthusiasm for art. Funny faces or not, your artwork is so real in it's simplicity and strokes echo that beautifully. Thanks for posting the essence of fall--here in New Hampshire those colors are the staple of our autumn. Enjoy your day. Ann
Beautiful grays and brushwork, as always.
WOW! gorgeous leaf and equally beautiful painting. I love it when the colors glow onto other nearby items. Enjoy fall, I think winter is around the corner!
Beautiful and just glows! I bet it is just a whole new world to explore and very inspiring. This is lovely. Really wonderful bright strong colors of the leaf against the plain ole' but wonderful white!!
I always love your excitement for your subjects, that's how it should be. Love the red glow, it is wonderful when objects project their color on surrounding objects isn't it?
You do such a wonderful job of white on white.
The more I watch your blog the more I become a fan of your style :)
I like simplicity and expression, when only two colors are present on the picture, it makes it special.
