Where Are My Glasses?

I found these cool old glasses at a Flea Market in Germany. My brother-in-law was with me at the time and I'm sure he thought I was crazy buying glasses I couldn't "use" but maybe this will reassure him.

  1. This is a wonderful painting, Carol. I love the pair of glasses resting on the book, together with the cup and saucer . . . it tells a a great story! Nice reflections on the glasses also.

  8. Fabulous painting!! Painting still life paintings has this minimalistic girl buying all kinds of crazy things. Hoping I won't end up on an episode of Hoarders:)

  13. Hi Carol, this is Elena. I am on my way making my own blog! It takes so much time. Anyway, thanks to you! My husband and I were shoked by this piece of art!!! You want to touch the glasses and the cup, but still you can see the brush strokes! Wonderful! I'd like to see the process of your work.

  14. Funny , I was just looking for my glasses and they were hanging in the neck of my blouse, lol. These glasses remind me of that older lady who used to be in the Old Navy commercial, a designer I think. Anyway I love your painting, I always love your minimal strokes that completely tell the story.

  15. The way you used those glasses is really surprising. But hey, it turns out really great. I would've wanted to see your brother-in-law's reaction myself. XD
