Bowl of Ribbon - SOLD

After my fun with the tissue paper (did I say crepe? ... heh heh) I decided to have a go with ribbon. And because it just wasn't complicated enough already, I put it inside a metal bowl. And then just to make it at least a bit of a challenge I put the whole thing on glass. Easy as pie.

Show-off. Well, I guess if I could do something this spectacular, I'd show-off, too. Just don't make this one of your challenges.

Exciting isn't it? Painting bright colors reflecting in metal or/and glass. I also like that kind of challenges ... =)

Great art Carol. Just enough detail to indicate ribbon form. Color juxtaposition is popping.

what a challenge! It turned out really lovely!

I was visiting the Nueva Street Gallery in San Antonio over the weekend and was so very happy to see your beautiful paintings as soon as I walked in the door!

I love how you have juxtaposed this bright orange with all those shades of gray and white ... really beautiful!

Just can't believe how well you do metal. I have that same bowl and have been looking at it since arriving home from Sedona. I see you have used it before. Nice. I am encouraged to do something with mine. Thanks for the inspiration.

Oh MAN! This is masterful. It's obviously ribbon but not overly described. yet it's all there! Wonderful color
I also have this little silver bowl and am sort of 'afraid' of it.
Maybe I'll gather some courage from you and give it a try.
