Juicyness - SOLD

I found these oranges at our Central Market. They had one cut up on display and I was taken by the extra wide pith. I wanted to say "hey, look at that great pith!" But ... I probably would have gotten some weird looks.
ps. I've added a workshop to my schedule: August 8-12 in Fish Creek, WI. To register visit the Peninsula School of Art website.

Yum! These look good enough to eat. How I love orange and green together! I'm admiring those purple and blue shadows, too. Excellent.

hahaha- if another artist had over heard - they would totally get it! But yeah, I try to keep it to myself when I'm thinking hey, look at that painterly cabbage (funny to hear the 'great pith' thoughts though!)

The green glass really makes the painting.

Very funny story about the orange"pith", Carole. I love the green glass and the complements in the shadows also. Your paintings have so much energy in them!

Oh Carol, this is utterly colouricious!

I am so jealous of anyone who lives where you teach. Any chance that you'll do a workshop in Scotland sometime? Dundee has a great art school (Duncan of Jordanstone)and a lively arts scene!

Cate...in Dundee, of course haha

Really enjoy your paintings, Carol! Your brushwork and colors are just so vibrant! Your style reminds me of one of my favorite illustrators, J.C. Leyendecker.I've been following your work for a while now, and just thought I should offer my compliments!

Such a wonderful color for the orange slices. You always amaze me with the limited palette you work with.
