The thing about radishes is - you have about 30 minutes before the leafy parts wilt into oblivion. I tried to paint them a second time but alas, they were too far gone. As it was I only managed to get a loose interpretation. But I like loose.

Your "loose" has it all — composition, colour, edges, contrast. A masterful piece! Love the touches of blue in the shadows.
Fabulous painting; and very true about the greens. My most successful painting of radishes occurred because I got a new bundle and subbed the new greens for the wilted; and got a new 1/2 hour! Yours is stunning!
This is a stunning painting, Carol! It is so brimming with life . . . but "what if" you painted the wilted, dying leaves? I think you have the sensibility and ability to transform that transitory state into beauty as well . . .

Love the combination of red and green.
One of your best Carol!

very beautiful the contrast green red.
it lacks the bread and butter lol
Love the radishes - what a fun subject to paint. I may have to give some a try with watercolor!
Love it! Love the green and red and those curly roots with the matching shadows.
Wow... amazing! I can't really think of anything else to say...
you are the Queen of loose and that's that! I love your consistency.
The drama is there in every painting!
Love your radishes!
