Click Here to BidI was inspired by the students in my workshop to return to some brighter colors and more dramatic color combinations. Purple and green seemed like a good place to start. It always takes me a few days to get back into the swing of things after I've taken a little break, so bear with me. This one looked better on my easel...

Carol,
Just gotta tell you how much I enjoy your work and daily painting blog. I'm a painter myself struggling to find my voice, and must say I appreciate your insight and comments as much as seeing the art.
Ooooooh, the colors on this one are rich!! Love the reflected highlights on the back of the apples and the colors in the different colors in the cast shadows.
Thanks for all you do!!

Carol,
Even I am a fan of rich colors and this one is amazing .
I usually just appreciate your work and "lurk" around on the art blogs, but just thought I'd tell you it's been fun watching you change and grow as an artist, and how honestly you convey your feelings about your paintings and your process. I love all of your paintings and this one especially with the bright, lively color combination.
