Eggarinos

I started an exercise class at our local YMCA a little over a month ago. Although I loved it, apparently I did too many burpees (if you don't know, good for you!) and stressed out my wrists. Now they hurt all the time - ugh! So I quit the class and got some wrist braces and that is helping, but it is making painting really awkward! Anyone have any experience with this? Oh yeah, and I painted some eggs.

So sorry to hear about your wrists! A few years ago I developed tendonitis in my right wrist from moving. Just turning a door knob was painful. I ended up in a brace for 8 weeks, with physical therapy twice a week. I basically gave up drawing and painting for those 8 weeks because the brace was so restrictive. I can't say if you have tendonitis, but hopefully whatever you have you caught soon enough that your experience will be less intense than mine! Now I'm extra cautious about my wrist. I've adapted yoga poses to protect it (downward dog on my fists rather than palms, etc.) and I use an ice pack and then a heating pad on my wrist at the smallest twinge. Our hands are our livelihoods, so don't put off seeing a doctor if this continues! Best of luck!

I had a flare up of arthritis in my thumb and a few acupuncture appointments took all the pain away!! I would do it again, if needed. Hope you're feeling better.
