Two Times Two Equals Four

sold. (6x6in.)

For some reason I often have a hard time painting around the edges of egg yolks. They need a slightly soft edge, and I am better at hard edges. I find myself fussing with that more than I'd like. So I'm trying to come up with some exercises for edges.

Hi Carol. I really love the way you've created the illusion of the egg whites with subtle changes in colour and those few highlights. Also, I'm interested in the blue in the shadow beside the red bowl. That surprised me as I expected that to be red (reflected off the bowl). It looks great though, and more important, right. Perhaps something to do with "simultaneous contrast" I have read about? Any way thanks for all the great inspiration.
