Glass Class

I've been working on projects around the house lately, which is why I haven't been posting often. I think I need a break from painting every once in a while, and these projects have given me that excuse. I would very much like to avoid the major burnout I have experienced in the past. I would also like to cultivate some new ideas. I still have a few more paintings to post, but after that, please bear with me.

Again beautiful colour combo here, Carol, and exquisite clarity of light. Sounds like a healthy choice and good to recognise that's where you're at and what you need to do. Art work will still be busy going on under the surface, won't it, all part of the mystery, the unconscious work; we can all relate. We'll be alongside you, not waiting.

Amazing painting! Love the colors you chose and the brush strokes create appealing movement... great job! I love seeing abstract pieces, hope I can try and create one of my own.

Hi Carol, I bought your book on amazon about a moth ago because of the beautiful paintings. They just resonated with me! You have helped me become so much happier with myself as an artist and you are wonderful inspiration. I wanted to leave you a link to the work you have help inspire:

I don't second guess myself as much any more and I was able to recommend your book to some of my students as well. I think some of them have bought your book too! i have posted a few things Through your website also. Thank you so much again! Kim Anderson

Doing a painting a day is a difficult task to take on. It challenges your brain to come up with something new everyday and your skill levels. I aspire to be able to do this.

This painting is also one of my favorites of yours.

Are you able to make a living off your work?

Thanks to everyone!

Rachel, yes, it is difficult to come up with something new all the time (though I certainly don't post every day anymore), especially after almost 10 years. But yes, I do make a living.
