I was recently going through some old photos and found this scene in my Germany file. One of my many Germany files, actually. I painted these flowers before, from life, here, and here.
Carol, the yellow shapes in the middle ground really do something for me. Maybe it's the speed and movement they create horizontally across the picture. Middle grounds are rarely where the action is, perhaps that's why it's so interesting here. Nice!
