I've been wanting to paint this one for a while. The reference came from the Eugene rose garden, last year I think. I knew it wouldn't fit well on a 6x6, so I used a larger panel. On a side note, my friend Patti makes fun of me because I think of 8x8 as big - ha!

Nice carol. Mi like the "bigger size" and particularly like the green variations in the leaves.
That is funny, 8x8 big! Heehahah..How big have you painted???
: ) My biggest painting, in college, was 6x8 FEET!
Wow, beautiful colors and values!
I love your flowers!!!! They are so inspiring. It certainly takes some skill to paint on something so small and make it look as good as you do! Haha
I really like the colors! It has a vintage feel to it! You are so talented....I really enjoy your work = )
Wow, now thats-a biggie!! What was the subject? ¦~
Haha--love your comment about the 8x8 size. I'm always impressed by what you do on these small sizes. They make me feel claustrophobic.
The subject of my 6x8' painting was actually a horrible collage of images I cut out of magazines. I lost the reference halfway through the semester and had to make up the rest. Terrible! My brother still has the painting. I saw it recently. So bad!
