Casual Corner

sold (8x8in.)

I've been under the weather this week. I don't know if it's that or just my bad luck, but I've been doing a lot of wipers lately. This one though ... I feel positively redeemed. I like it a lot. It's always such a good feeling when a painting works out, especially in the middle of a dry spell.

I will be announcing a new workshop next week, Thursday, 11/21/13, at 7pm PST (that's west coast time). The workshop will be in March, '14, here in Oregon.

Hope you're feeling better. Rest and water.
I like the painting as well.
And I can't imagine your art being a wiper.

You are right. This is a winner. Love the orangey background showing through.

wow- the light. So great. And the wipers can be so painful. (I actually chucked one in the trash this week after wiping it one to many times.) Glad you made it over the hump.

Wow. This is such a good lesson in centre of interest. The two figures in the foreground jump right out because of the contrast; warm tones against a cool neutral ground, dark against light and yet connected to the rest of the composition by the markings on the road.
