This was done from a photograph I took on my way from the little apartment I rented in San Francisco last week, to the school. I just loved the early morning light and the kind of fuzzy feel everything had. I found the apt. through
airbnb.com, which I totally plan to use in the future. It lists all kinds of places (by owner) for the night, from a couch in a hallway, to a room, to an apt., to a whole house. Very cool.

OMG, this is my favourite painting of yours. Love that little hit of red on the traffic light. Gorgeous sky!
Great sense of atmosphere. I can feel the air! You are such a great teacher and artist extradanaire! I really miss our class. Carla and I went out painting at China Camp this last Thursday. We were both trying to remember everything you were saying...islands to oceans. :)
Wow, Carol! You really captured that San Franciso light. This is awesome!
So many great things about this painting Carol! Love the play of warm against cool, hard edges against soft, connecting shapes with value and pushing values to create distance. Everything I teach my students is present here - love it!
Hi Carol,
That white highlight on the top of the car which the softened edge perfectly captures the glare of the sunlight bouncing off the car; amazing!
LOVE this, the hazy feeling and the light is just fantastic.
Hi Carol,
Your work is so inspiring. I think there is something new in your recent paintings, though all your work is great.. A not so obvious light in this particular one, perhaps. Congratulations!
