Where Are the Zebras?

sold

This one is from a picture I took at the Portland zoo last summer. Everyone was straining to see the zebras, but they were nowhere to be seen.

This is the last painting I did before I left for my workshop last week, and now that I'm home I'm having the darnedest time getting back into the groove. I remember feeling very excited about painting before, but now I can't remember why. Argh. It's very frustrating. I never liked jumping into cold water.

Bonjour,
Je suis ravie de vous retrouver après mon voyage en Afrique...
Je suis certaine que ce zèbre se cachait tranquillement !
J'aime la capture de cette jeune enfant en quête d'apercevoir cet animal... Des très belle lumières.
Gros bisous

You must paint - because you can!

Its good to know that you get "painters' block" too. I think you do fantastic to be so productive, especially with all your travels. This little girl is so cute. Always like to see your figurative work.

This is one of my favorite of your figurative works!

I know how getting out of the groove feels, believe me... you're such a fine painter... I hope you take a break, or go see some fabulous art, or go camping or whatever you need to do to get to getting excited about painting again. I'm confident you will!

Carol, well you may not like it but I think it's great, I found myself straining to see what the girl was looking at.
Sure hope you find your groove soon but if this is the result without it then maybe you haven't lost it.
Trip to the UK perhaps , we have rain , short days , no sun and more rain, just a thought !
