Talk to the Fork

sold

It finally happened! I finally had the urge - the actual wanting! to paint a still life again! Ok, so I was particularly inspired by this very unique pig that I recently received from a student (thank you!). But I've already done a few more, which I will be posting in the next few days. Yay!

That's such a lovely feeling isn't it? When inspiration has done a runner for a while and then suddenly, there it is!
I LOVE the pig! :0)

So inspiration can come in the form of a pig. I have to remember that. I really do appreciate the honesty of your art life, Carol. Makes me feel better knowing that it happens to a fabulous artist like you. You have no idea how much I admire and love what you do and how you do it.

Carol, I love your work. I've had a bit of an extended break from painting lately. Could not bring myself to paint one more landscape! It was an article about you in Professional Artist magazine that got me willing to pick up a brush again. And my method - to follow your instruction for still life! It's been the perfect thing to get me back to painting. And I agree with Julie - as much as I love your work (and I do) - I love your honesty even more!
