I was really captivated by the walk up to this relatively plain and unkempt house. I am finding painting this kind of stuff not quite the same as still life (duh), and so I am being challenged, which is probably exactly what I am needing right now. So I am researching other artists who paint houses and architecture. One of my favorites is Colin Page. If anyone has any other suggestions of good, loose painters (that sounds funny - next I'll be hearing from Colin's wife...) I would love to hear them. Thanks!

Carol, love this new direction! Your work is just beautiful, can hardly wait to see more. One artist that paints in a similar style is Tim Horn. I have taken his classes, and just love his work! You might enjoy it, if you haven't seen it already.
Jennifer McChristian would be one of my favourites in this genre.

Geez, you have knowledgable followers! I can't recommend any other painters in this "ilk" because I don't know them. However, I love the direction you are taking also and am enjoying the "intimate" views you create. I also love the near repetition of shapes, and as always your delightful whimsicle angles and great compositions!
