When I took the picture for this painting I wasn't sure anything would come of it, but I am IN LOVE with this painting. Sorry. That's not terribly modest of me.
ADVANCED WORKSHOP - October 1-5, Santa Fe, NM. This was put together by a former class of mine and those students had first dibs (this has been many years in the works). There are 3 spots left. Please email Nancy if you are interested. There are also sleeping rooms available. Here is a description of the class.

Well... it is awesome, nice to see you found new things to put your spin on.
Happy painting.
I love it too, Carol! What a great composition. Love the shadows, and how the blue is repeated all around the painting. Great job!
excellent!
Un jeu d'ombre et de lumière extraordinaire...
Gros bisous
Great painting. I love this one too.
That's funny! I think most of us have been brought up with the idea that we should be modest. It's the ones I love the most that I am happiest to sell! Do you feel that way?
It's sort of a car-themed Sarrolla (sp?) I like it 2!
One's eyes can play up the dead-center pole and spiral left or right. Unstaged and unsentimental.
The shadows are fantastic! Love the car, too!
I am loving these new paintings, too. I especially love that you see paintings where I don't see paintings, which is exactly what I love about the still lifes, too. I don't look at a makeshift tarp in a crowded driveway and see a painting, but you're right, it IS wonderful. Painters are here to show us what we don't see in the world...
abstractly wonderful!
This is a stunner! And, modesty is a highly overrated virtue, especially for artists. Keep on keepin' on.
I love your color palette and your working with the pole in the center. Love, too, the way you broke up the sunlight through brush strokes with slight variations in color but same value. This painting is beautiful!
Well, you are allowed to say you love it because it's gorgeous. I follow your blog everyday and I think this is one of your best so far as it has a very interesting composition and energy in it. Just great.
