These are my favorites - Banana Republic (they make shoes!?), but I found them at the thrift store. Actually, I got them all at the thrift store. And after I paint them a couple more times, I'll return them and get something else.

NO. NO, you can't return them! You have to wear them— you must become one with your subject matter!! Get rid of those runners and wear heels all day long, in the studio. It may cut down on your production, but you'll learn to love it. TRUST ME. . .
Carol: You know I kid you sometimes, but with all seriousness aside.. You can paint like nobody's business. This is a brilliant little painting! So very good.
So you can return stuff to a thrift store??? Wow! I never thought of that! So that's how I can keep my still life stuff from piling up! Carol, you are a marvel! (And an extraordinary painter.)
Cool....I am already a big fan of one of your Artist Blog Friends....Amy Hillenbrand. I have always thought of her as the 'Shoe Lady' because of all her show paintings. Is that where you got the idea? Must be a shoe revolution happening!
I have been bidding on your paintings for what seems like forever! Now, I am the proud winner of your 'chocolaty' shoes! Can't wait to receive them. PLUS, I treated myself to one of your workshops in December! Better than any pair of shoes. I look forward to meeting you, Carol! I have been admiring your art for a long time and I think you are wonderful!
