"Making Waves" - SOLD

As usual when I am teaching, the rest of the world seems to disappear! I forget everything but my students. And this group is going to be tough to forget even after class. They are raucus, call each other names, laugh out loud at everything - deserving of the title KIDS! It's wonderful. : )
This painting is special to me because the birds came from 2 different people, both very important in my life. I think they go well together. The birds that is. Unfortunately the 2 people don't speak the same language. Literally.

Carol, This one is just precious, you probably hate that word, but it is. The colors are so interesting and the love the duckies.

I really like this composition. I feel like I'm wondering through a maze of orange slices with the birds guarding the next turn.

Loving your class. I have learned so much. Thank you!

Killer color. Excuse the alliteration, but it's true! lol

Carol - this is so darling and well painted...I love the way the orange pieces sort of surround the ducks - like a half halo which directs attention to the ceramics.

Love this one! You are so original with your ideas and designs, that's why you stand out from the pack, lol. Love your sense of humor too and the way you talk about your "kids".

The oranges remind me of the Sydney Opera house. You are very adventurous = i like you. And the birds & your friends - birds of a feather flock together.

Your work is beautiful and I love the immediacy and energy of your style.
I am a recent arts graduate from Scotland and found your blog when searching for inspiration to fuel my own.
It has given me a continual buzz to create work myself so I just wanted to say thankyou.
I also have a daily blog where I draw a portrait each day, not a patch on yours.
Thankyou again, Catriona.
