"Fruity Tutti" - SOLD

At the very end of 2010 my son and I were on the bus from the airport to the car park. Fitting? I'm not sure. But the trip went well - no delays - so we were content with it. On to a new year!

Welcome home Carol and Happy New Year! I loved the stacked oranges and this one, too. Beautiful colors! For many of us, mixing the "right" color can be such a challenge. What would you recommend to us from your own experience? Was there a class you took early in your education? Did you do color charts? Or was it simply the act of daily painting that fine tuned this wonderful ability? Thanks!

OK, Seriously. I'm just scrolling back and forth between Fruity Tutti and Organized Breakfast, amazed at the depth of field you create Carol. Over and above color, composition, etc... Well done and Happy New Year my friend. M

Thanks, ya'll!!

Pam, I never took a class on color mixing or did one single color chart (beleive it or not!). Two things helped me. One was a workshop teacher who taught me about the way colors lean (there's a book all about it - called "Blue and Yellow Don't Make Green"). The second was, you got it, painting every day. I can't say enough about just painting painting and painting to help you improve your skill.
