"Plum Suicide" - SOLD

I'll post quick because I've got to get a good night sleep for teaching tomorrow. But I wanted to post these plums I painted last month and then completely forgot about! One of my favorites and I forgot ... how did that happen!? I'd wanted to paint something inside a plastic bag for a while and finally did it. A friend said the title is a bit morbid, and another said it's more like "Assisted Plum Suicide." Dark humor - gotta love it.

I love the painting but hate the title...you should just call it "dark humor" and let it be a mystery....I love the way you title your pieces with the exception of this one....and I really do like a kind of dark humor...just not suicide...but I am just one critic.....love the painting...they look luscious

Beautiful painting! Love the drama in the contrast! Really appreciate how many intermediary shades you capture in the darks. I know it's not easy . . .

Beautiful work, as usual. But having seen a single suicide devastate three generations in a family, not so funny.
