"Dazzled by Light" - SOLD

Today we are in Stuttgart, in a hotel before our early flight tomorrow. This is another painting I did before I left. I was really intrigued by the strong bit of light in the one spot on the cloth and in front of of the cups/apple. Also I love this fabric. I think it's a kind of sheer shawl I found forever ago in a thrift store. I've painted it many times.

Beautiful, Carol, and I'm a little bit in love with the light on the blue cup, too!
Safe travels, rest up when you get home!

This is an intriguing painting. Something about the small dashes of light, amidst the grays and bits of brighter colors. It is a very calm painting. But also feels like it has a lot to say. Contemplative. A good choice for the last day of 2010. Thanks!

This is one of my favorites of yours. Love the way the bright red and blue makes my eyes look back and forth over the canvas. Great grays!

Love how the scarf adds a light, flowing touch to the more sturdy objects. Also love the pops of red and blue to contrast the neutrals. Light/highlights on the scarf , cup and table are wonderful.
