Above is a very loose version of white cups and things I did a few weeks ago. I did 2 versions for a friend and he picked the other so this one is up for grabs. Below is student work from this last week (I keep forgetting to photograph more) - these are ten minute paintings and I hope you'll agree the improvement (left to right) is phenomenal!
And below are all my kids together in San Luis Obispo. I hope you know I was kidding when I said all those mean things about them in my last post. : ) This was a really great group and I was sad for the week to end. Please stay in touch, ya'll!

Enjoy the solid abstract unity of this cup conglomerate. Am reminded of the almost monochromatic still life abstractions of Morandi. You've broken some new ground here, Carol.

Really like the white on white. Looks like it would be very difficult since there are so many common values but handled it masterfully.
I'm so jealous, Carol, San Luis Obispo sounds like fun! I love your "White Stacks 2". I find white very difficult to paint, but love the way colors bounce into white ceramic surfaces. This is one I'll be studying for inspiration! BTW, I finally put all the great advice from your Sedona workshop into action. I have my own blog now!
Carol I admire your work daily. The white on white is beautiful. What a challenge! Question: Often you have in your set up a reflective surface what do you use for this?

I'm a little late responding but, Ruthie, I use a large peice of glass to get the reflections.
