"Patchwork Apples" - SOLD

I learned something very valuable when I was sick recently. I discovered that I can sit on the couch for almost two weeks doing nothing ... and the world keeps turning! So I've decided to be a little easier on myself, eat better, exercise more, spend more time with my family. I'll still paint most days, but just a few hours sometimes instead of all day most days. It's what a lot of you have been telling me for ages, and I'm finally listening. Thank you!

Yeah Carol, so glad to hear your new decision about being kind and loving to yourself. I'm sure it will show in your paintings (not that they need anything) but your know what I mean :)

Another great painting, and difficult with so many uniquly colored apples!

And I like your "new" philosophy regarding pacing yourself on behalf of your health and your family.

We DO LOVE your paintings and of course always look forward to seeing them. But we love the artist who creates these paintings (and whimsical titles!) even more. I suspect that even when you are not painting, your mind is creating, and whatever it is that you are experiencing will eventually wiggle it's way into one of your paintings. And it will be wonderful!

Beautiful, glowing apples. I like the touch of purple against that orange.

So glad to hear you are listening to your body. Nothing/No one knows you as well as it does and it will always lead you to exactly what you need! Wish I had listened to mine sooner. Now all it does is b#$%@ and complain because I didn't listen to it when I was younger. "See! I told you...blaa blaa blaa". Ok, ok...I get it.

Carol, love this purple gray in the painting--makes the whole painting just yummy.

And I am glad you are finding more balance in your life. Your painting will only become richer for feeding your soul with the fullness of all things you love.

Your paintings are like you...phenomenal.

Carol, we all love to paint, but if you rob yourself of time with your family you will never be able to re-capture it.

It is a humbling experience, isn't it? - to find out that we are not indispensible.

Let me just say that you have painted like, a million apples?
And they NEVER get OLD :D
This rich color harmony sets these beautifully painted apples aglow. The green/red, the violet/yellow and the little triangle of limey in the corner.
Not to mention that most everything is grayed down so as to bring out the colors in the apples.
Brilliant!

About the couch? Good lesson for a driven Leo like yourself.
