"Cracked Up" - SOLD

Today we wrapped up the workshop here in Jacksonville. I'll be back to painting (and posting) on Monday. Below are 2 more demos from class (that's a fig beside the cup).

Below are some 10 minute studies from my students. They are not all left to right, top to bottom, but I think you'll be able to see how they get better. I told them to stick with one subject until they felt they really had it (or were sick of it) and then move on.

And last but certainly not least, my kids! This was another great group of great people, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I love my job. : )

Beautiful painting! I love it. I'd like to get into some small still life paintings like this.

there's something about repeating a subject or doing a series - and there's nothing better than a time limit to unleash the maestro inside every one of us!! good on ya!

love how wet you made this feel.

Your class sounds really fun and a great learning ground.

Hi, Filbert

Thanks for all that information. I got home after last day of class, sat down with a glass of wine. Lo and behold, there were three beautiful grapefruit in a brass bowl on the coffee table before me: "OH, a still life!" came right out of my mouth. I think all that looking and studious squinting has my brain on a new track. That's what your workshop did for me. DM

Please come to Ottawa, Canada. Please!

I lurk daily. I love the colours in your work. I love how you capture the lighting so well, day after day. I feel good inside when I see your daily paintings.

Hey girl - It was so awesome to see you last weekend. Hard to believe another week has passed - looks like another successful workshop! I see Ms. Maija Baynes in that there group photo. Hi Maija! I must know - did she use any palette knives last week?? She kicked but in my spring palette knife workshop. Boy, can she paint!
