"See Thru Barn" - SOLD

Well, I'm a bit late on my promise to post, but I have to admit - it felt so good NOT to crack open my computer these last 3 days.

The workshop was great! Jill Carver is a wonderful teacher and artist. It was interesting to be on the learning side of a workshop. I tried to completely let go of my way and do what she said, but it was HARD! Fortunately this will help me be more understanding of my students. I will post my paintings in order. We started out with barns (above). Below is Jill painting on the second day.

This experience makes me want to paint outside every day!

Wow, looks like you had a great time at the workshop. See Thru Barn is very cool. I like the red-green complementary color harmony and the crisp square strokes you use -- there's still a lot of your style in it even if you did let go and do things Jill's way.

Sounds like a load of fun. Wish I was there of course!

Today I had a happy package come in and have been playing with Pan Pastels now that I have the full range. It's been awesome.

I've enjoyed your blog posts for a while now and was delighted to see you were taking a workshop yourself.

As an art instructor to a fabulous group of adults I have been feeling the hankering to enroll in a class myself.

You're right that it's good to have an awareness of the perspective of the student.

Looking forward to your postings!

The workshop sounds like it was wonderful. I hope to be able to take one of yours someday - I've been admiring your work for a while! There's nothing like painting outside - every winter I forget just how great it feels!

Lovely. You still have your own take on the subject. Look forward to seeing more.

PS
I took Carol's class in Jacksonville 3 weeks ago and it was wonderful! I recommend it.

Wow your quick. Just got up into my studio, checked my email and blog and dang if you haven't already posted your workshop stuff. I really enjoyed meeting and painting with you this week. I've really enjoyed your work so far, but now that we have slopped paint together, it will have more meaning now that I've met the lady behind the paint brush.

Keep up the great work and I look forward to the next time we get to paint together.
