Happy New Year! I spent the day assembling shelves at our new house. Yes, we are moving! This new year will bring a lot of changes for us, this being the first. After a lot of deliberation (we thought seriously about moving to Germany) we recently bought a cute, little house in Bastrop, an hour outside of Austin, TX (where we live now). It is on 1/2 acre of land, in a forest filled with blackjack oaks and loblolly pines, in a quiet, rural neighborhood. The only thing missing is an extra room for me, so we will be building a custom studio!! (I'll try not to gush about this too much) in the next 6 months or so. We have a lot of other stuff going on too, so everything will go kind of slow, but I am going to try to still paint at least something every day.

Wow! a new studio, too!! Guess we can look forward to seeing pine cones in your future paintings? Happy New Year to you and your family.
Congratulations on your new house and studio. It's wonderful to be able to design your own studio. Happy New Year.
You DO have a lot going on - good for you! And congratulations on the new house/new studio! What a New Year you have ahead! Sounds wonderful. And I love this vase in your painting.
I LOVE this painting and am jealous that you get your very own studio!!!!! How awesome is that?! :)
Have a great New Year building, designing and painting.
congratulations to the new house, although it would have been very nice to have you as new neighbours too !

Congratulations on your new house and (above all) studio. I hope you will let us see the progress along the way.
That is great Carol, I am happy for you. What fun to build and design a new studio.
Congratulations on a new home and a new studio! I just recently moved and it is very disrupting - hard to find a time and a place to paint - hard to just find your brushes again!! LOL! Hope you post some pics of the new studio when it is done.
But I did want to say, I just love your work and have been admiring it for some time.
